In 2010, she opened DMT Entertainment & Events to take the skills, contacts and talents she had developed to the next level by launching her own production company.

McGowan Tracy has produced shows and events with headline talent including Bernadette Peters, Frankie Avalon, Harvey Korman and Tim Conway and many others. As Director of Entertainment for Navy Pier, the # 1 entertainment attraction in the Midwest, she was the creative force behind, and she supervised a production team to coordinate all public entertainment and programming. Supervised all concerts at Skyline Stage working in tandem with major promoters including Jam Productions and Live Nation to present talent including Train, Joe Cocker, The Beach Boys, Rick Springfield and dozens more and all public entertainment and programming. In addition, she oversaw family programming, music stages, live stage productions, holiday programming and over 300 fireworks exhibitions developed during her tenure from the re-launch of the Pier in 1995 to her departure in 2004. In addition, she served as host for three seasons of “Event & Expo, Etc.,” a television show produced by the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority and served as on-air spokesperson for Navy Pier on numerous television and radio appearances.

In 2007, when asked to serve as Executive Producer of the Green Tie Ball, the high-profile annual fundraiser that benefits Chicago Gateway Green, she teamed up with Michelle Durpetti to form McGowan Durpetti & Associates. While at MD&A, McGowan was instrumental in producing hugely successful events for the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, L. Woods, a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, the Arlington Park Million gala and others.

Once a talent booker, manager and house MC for the legendary nightclub Byfield’s where she introduced “newcomers” including Ellen DeGeneres and Kevin Nealon, McGowan Tracy returned to the stage in September 2007 to produce and host Petterino’s Monday Night Live, an impromptu musical showcase in a supper club setting. Since its inception McGowan Tracy and co-host Beckie Menzie have welcomed over 500 singers from Chicago and around the country including Tony award nominees, cast members of top touring productions, local, regional and national cabaret and jazz legends and people who just love to sing.
